Creativity was ripe in the 1970s, and the Audemars Piguet Cobra 5403 was an undeniable eventuality of that era. Nicknamed the Cobra from the woven, scale-like pattern of its bracelet, the Cobra 5403 is a fluid design that is as bold as it is sculptural. The combination of subtle details and an almost unwavering pursuit of unique originality makes the Cobra 5403 as special as it is.

With respect to the bracelet, what we know is that it was the work of Roland-Gilbert Gasche, a Geneva-based goldsmith who supplied some of the finest integrated bracelets of the era to the many Swiss watchmaking maisons. The pattern extends to the case, and is rounded off by a deep brown sunburst dial with twelve diamond hour markers, minimal dial markings and a lovely contrast of patina throughout.
