MB&F has effectively created its own category within the realm of true independent watchmaking. A far cry from convention or reality even, what comes out of the MB&F is nothing short than extraordinary. Maddeningly insane even. Enter the M.A.D.2. Now, it has to be said. The M.A.D.1 was more atypical of MB&F’s inherent design language, while the M.A.D.2 toes the line closer to horological normality. And wearability. The first M.A.D.1 reference was virtually unwearable with its 20mm thick case. The M.A.D.2 is a far slimmer, sleeker affair. But it’s not without its inherent quirks. There are plenty of technical talking points to expand upon, but in essence the M.A.D.2 Orange Edition has two discs that point to the passing hours and minutes, and beneath those seemingly floating discs is a main dial plate with a circular engraved pattern. 

 

The M.A.D.2 Orange Edition is a very fun and very accessible way to experience the creative M.A.D.ness of MB&F, with this particular Tribe-only model being far more difficult to find as opposed to the green public raffled piece.

Eccentricities aside, this M.A.D.2 Orange Edition presents in completely unworn condition and is as new. Beyond the obvious absurdity that is the M.A.D Edition lineage of watches, these Tribe-only offered pieces, available only to owners of MB&F models, are as coveted as they are exclusive.
