From the third pillar of modern watchmaking is this incredible example of a 1950s icon, the esteemed Fancy Lugs. Dubbed thee because of its sculptural lugs, this mid-century dress watch is every bit as divine as its lugs are a conversation-starter. Its glistening yellow gold case serves as the perfect backdrop to the ornate nature of its lugs, topped off by a simple dial and two distinct Breguet numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock. It is important to note that this is not the original dial and can be considered a redial. Adding to its rarity and mystique is inclusion of an original Maltese Cross clasp. The Vacheron Constantin Fancy Lugs 4660 is a far cry from the modern complexities of many a contemporary dress watch, and is a reminder to us all of the creativity and daring of these watchmakers from only a generation ago. ​

The Vacheron Constantin Fancy Lugs 4660 presents in fantastic condition, with some very light scratches adorning the bezel and case. The crown, dial, hands and accompanying dial furniture all look to be original. Rarer still, the Maltese cross stylised clasp is original. There are no other notable blemishes or scratches.
