9 Omega Speedmasters Including The O.G.

Since its introduction in 1957, the Omega Speedmaster has received a cult, it's very own #speedytuesday hashtag on Instagram, along with a plethora of new editions and variations. But at its core, the Speedmaster remains one of the most balanced, wearable and functional chronographs available. I've trawled through the seemingly never-ending pages on Amazon to find 9 exceptional examples of the beloved Speedmaster, from the O.G. Moonwatch all the way an Aventurine dialled stunner and the super impressive and highly lauded "Dark Side Of The Moon Apollo 8". Enjoy!

Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch

The Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is one of those iconic generational watches whose design seems to be timeless. Many different variations of the Speedmaster have been made over the years, but the original is still my favourite.

Omega Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer

Featuring a sunbrushed grey dial, black ceramic bezel and orange dial highlights, the Omega Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer is a masterful stroke of modernity and accuracy.

Omega Speedmaster Racing Co-Axial Chronograph

For lovers of red and purveyors of all things Speedmaster here is the enigmatic red-dialled Omega Speedmaster Racing Co-Axial Chronograph. You don't see these all too often.

Omega Speedmaster 38 Orbis Chronograph

Created to commemorate a very good cause, the Omega Speedmaster 38 Orbis Chronograph features some subtle touches and details that make it very easy on the eye.

Omega Speedmaster "Grey Side Of The Moon"

Featuring a dial actually made out of a meteorite, a grey ceramic case, 18k Sedna gold hands and bezel, the Omega Speedmaster "Grey Side Of The Moon" is as striking as it is bold.

Omega Speedmaster "Blue Side Of The Moon"

Aptly named the "Blue Side Of The Moon", this piece is comprised of a blue aventurine glass dial, a blue ceramic case and one of the most beautiful moonphase indicators I've ever seen.

Omega Speedmaster "Dark Side Of The Moon"

We've had grey, we've had blue and now we have black. Here is the very well received Omega Speedmaster "Dark Side Of The Moon". With its black-on-black theme, high-lume hands and hour markers and subtle touches of red, the Omega Speedmaster "Dark Side Of The Moon" is a modern classic that truly embodies the contemporary direction of the iconic Speedmaster.

Omega Speedmaster "Dark Side Of The Moon" Apollo 8

The Speedmaster "Dark Side Of The Moon" Apollo 8 heralds in a new era for Omega. A partially openworked dial. Dashes of yellow. A blackened movement which has been laser-ablated to represent the moon’s surface. Very little to fault here.

Omega Speedmaster '57 Co-Axial Chronograph

I found something to balance the super modern look of the Speedmaster "Dark Side Of The Moon" Apollo 8 with the Speedmaster '57 Co-Axial Chronograph. Beautiful, vintage-inspired and superbly well put together, the Speedmaster '57 Co-Axial Chronograph does the original Speedmaster from 1957 justice, and then some.
