Footballers & Their Watches - January 2023


Welcome to the first Footballers & Their Watches edition of 2024. In the year's very first instalment, I've picked out a handful of superstar footballers wearing equally as impressive pieces of truly high end watchmaking, including from the likes of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Alexi Mac Allister, as well as Real Madrid's Fede Valverde.


Ibrahima Konaté - Liverpool - Patek Philippe

The up and coming Liverpool and French defensive rock Ibrahima Konaté was seen here sporting the ever-popular Patek Philippe 5167A Aquanaut.



Mohamed Salah - Liverpool - Roger Dubuis

With an eye for goal and a penchant for the absurd, Mohamed Salah's wrist game definitely matches his brilliant and other-worldly playing style.



Alexis Mac Allister - Liverpool - Patek Philippe

The Argentine world cup winner and Liverpool midfielder talisman was spotted wearing the incredible Patek Philippe 5270P Perpetual Calendar Chronograph.



Fede Valverde - Real Madrid - Rolex

Fede Valverde represents Real Madrid at club level, all the while playing for Uruguay on the world stage. Here he is spotted wearing the Rolex Sky-Dweller.



Curtis Jones - Liverpool - Patek Philippe

Another up and coming powerhouse of Liverpool, Curtis Jones' wrist packs some serious haute horlgerie weight with the new Patek Philippe 5811/1G Nautilus.



Jesse Lingard - Free Agent - Patek Philippe

Despite being a free agent for the better part of 2023 to now, Jesse Lingard's wrist-game remains as strong as ever. Here he is wearing the new Patek Philippe 5261R Aquanaut Perpetual Calendar.



Sergi Roberto - Barcelona - Audemars Piguet

Sergi Roberto brushed shoulders with some royalty at a recent Formula 1 race all the while wearing the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph.



João Félix - Atlético Madrid - Rolex

João Félix hasn't had the easiest of runs, and with him still trying to find his form at Barcelona while on loan from Atlético Madrid, we're all hoping for the best for him. In the mean time, I'm sure he's loving his time with his all-gold Rolex Day-Date 40.
