Footballers & Watches - June 2020

Welcome to the next instalment of our monthly series of Footballers & Watches where we take a look at what watches our favourite footballers have been wearing. In June's round up we'll be featuring a variety of footballers like Dele Alli, Marcos Llorente and Raheem Sterling wearing pieces from Audemars Piguet, Rolex and Patek Philippe. Enjoy!

Side note: Liverpool have won the Premier League for the first time in 30 years! Congratulations, utterly well deserved. Up the Reds!

Dele Alli - Tottenham - Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked

Midfield maestro for Tottenham was seen sporting the $76,800USD Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked in gold. One of my favourite watches worn by one of the most talented English footballers.

Alessandro Diamanti - Western United - Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked

The Italian midfielder has played for a variety of teams including Fiorentina, Palmero and West Ham, and now he can be found pulling the strings for Western United in Melbourne, Australia. Here he is sporting the platinum Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked with a retail price of $144,900USD.

Steven Gerrard - Rangers - Patek Philippe 5712 Nautilus

Liverpool legend and my all time favourite player, Steven Gerrard now manages the Scottish club Rangers. An absolute beast in the middle of the pitch and more than capable of scoring goals from 40 yards out, Steven Gerrard was the epitome of what a box-to-box midfielder should be. Here he is wearing the super desirable Patek Philippe 5712 Nautilus which costs £30,530.

Mahmoud Dahoud - Borussia Dortmund - Patek Philippe 5711 Nautilus

The German-Syrian Mahmoud Dahoud currently plays for Borussia Dortmund. The midfielder had unfortunately sustained a season-ending injury in May which absolutely sucks for Dortmund given Dahoud undeniable talent. Alls well that ends well, especially with a Patek Philippe 5711 Nautilus on your wrist. Retail is £22,820 if you can find one.

Marcos Llorente - Atlético Madrid - Rolex Daytona

Marcos Llorente currently plies his trade for the Spanish giants .Atlético Madrid. The midfield is graced with speed, technique and an eye for goal. Llorente was spotted wearing the Rolex Daytona with a retail cost of $18,500AUD.

Memphis Depay - Lyon - Rolex Day-Date 40 Everose

A talented footballer who seems to enjoy exploring his artistic side, Memphis Depay has all the attributes to be one of the finest footballers on the planet. Currently killing it for Lyon in the French Ligue 1, Depay was seen sporting the ever-cool Rolex Day-Date 40 in Everose with an olive green dial which retails for $55,350AUD.

Raheem Sterling - Manchester City - Rolex Day-Date 40 Gold

The once-upon-a-time Liverpool talisman Raheem Sterling received a lot of flack when he left the Reds to join Manchester City, but one could argue it being the right choice given his meteoric rise to the upper echelons of footballing royalty. The dominant winger is seen here wearing the delicious Rolex Day-Date 40 in gold, with a retail cost of $51,550AUD.

Nathanial Clyne - Liverpool - Rolex Sky-Dweller Gold

Liverpool's right back mainstay for several seasons before the young Trent Alexander-Arnold stepped in, Nathanial Clyne was solid, reliable and ever ready. While he may be on the fringes at Liverpool, you can't deny his talent, or his taste in watches. Here he is with the stunning Rolex Sky-Dweller in gold which costs $46,650USD.
