FullGear Presents its First Watch: The Pioneer

In what is a first for the watchmaker, FullGear presents its novel timepiece, the Pioneer. The Pioneer is an automatic pilot's watch that is completely customisable, enabling purchasers to personalise their own model to their heart's desire.

FullGear will be releasing two models, both part of the brand's Pioneer series. The first is the NightMaster and the second is the Navigator. Both models will feature Gaseous Tritium Light Source technology, or GTLS for short. GTLS technology is basically a tiny glass vessel filled with tritium gas. The electrons emitted by the tritium gas are absorbed by the chemical layer inside the glass vessel, which in turn keeps the tube glowing constantly. FullGear has estimated the life of the tritium to be in excess of 12 years.

Both models will feature marine grade stainless steel cases which is highly resistant to sea water corrosion with a depth rating of 20ATM. And both models will be able to be heavily customised, with configuration options ranging from the dial design, the colour of the case, the colour of the hands, the material of the quick release straps and even the colour of the tritium tubes.

The watches look and feel like the pilot's watches of yesteryear. Oversized crowns. Bold hour numerals. Clean, uncluttered dials. The addition of the date window is discreet and easy on eye. And with the option to customise virtually every portion of the Pioneer's aesthetic, the possibilities for creating something truly unique are endless.

FullGear's Kickstarter campaign is live now, with early special early bird pricing available.
