The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) is one of the watch industry’s most prestigious events, held annually in Geneva to honour the finest innovations, craftsmanship, and creativity in watchmaking. Often described as the "Oscars of the watch world," the GPHG celebrates excellence by recognising outstanding timepieces across various categories, from Ladies' and Men's watches to complications like Tourbillons and Calendar & Astronomy watches. The 2024 edition, its 24th, will culminate on November 13 a Geneva’s Théâtre du Léman, where awards will be presented for 15 categories, including the recently introduced "Time Only" category, dedicated to showcasing elegantly simple watches. Each category has six finalists, and only one watchmaker will win the highly coveted Aiguille d'Or Grand Prize, which is the event’s top honor and went last year to Audemars Piguet’s Code 11.59 Ultra-Complication Universelle RD#4.

In addition to the awards ceremony, the GPHG finalists go on an international exhibition tour, giving watch enthusiasts around the world a chance to see these exceptional timepieces firsthand. The 2024 tour begins in Hong Kong, then travels to cities like Ho Chi Minh City, New York, and Geneva before concluding in Bucharest. This global showcase underscores GPHG’s commitment to promoting fine watchmaking worldwide, building excitement for both the awards and the watchmaking craft itself.
