MR PORTER x Haulogerie: Picks of the Week #12

Dimitri Tsilioris

Welcome to this week's 'MR PORTER x Haulogerie: Picks of the Week' instalment! In this week's column we've picked out some of the coolest pieces available from the likes of HYT, IWC, TAG Heuer, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Girard-Perregaux. Enjoy!

HYT SOONOW Limited Edition

Featuring the brand's boroscilicate glass capillary that resembles a skull and filled with blue fluid that floats as the hours go by, the SOONOW Limited Edition is an immensely complex watch to fathom both in design and in execution.

IWC Big Pilot's Perpetual Calendar Rodeo Drive

IWC's Big Pilot's Perpetual Calendar Rodeo Drive combines a ceramic case with a deep blue dial to create what is, in effect, a watch that is as striking as it is extreme. I love the bad-boy look of this watch. Aggressive, bold, loud and full of attitude. One of my favourite version of the Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar for sure.

Girard-Perregaux Laureato Earth to Sky

Crafted in 42mm of ceramic and featuring a movement clad in blue PVD coating, the Laureato Earth to Sky is a dramatic take on one of the brand's most distinctive and market-dividing models. The Laureato Earth to Sky walks the fine line between doing too much and not doing enough, and it does so in style.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar

Perhaps one of the world's greatest perpetual calendars, Jaeger-LeCoultre's Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar unapologetically lays claim to perfection. Marrying beauty with technique, craftsmanship with personality and functionality with mechanical mastery, the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar is supreme.

Piaget Polo S Limited Edition

Featuring a green dial matched with a green leather strap, the Piaget Polo S Limited Edition is both striking and polarising. Striking in that it's quite a difficult watch to unsee, in a good way of course, and polarising because if you don't like green, well then you're obviously not going to be buying this. But, if you do like green...

Baume & Mercier My Classima

Classical, sombre and crafted using inspiration from an archival model from the 1940's, Baume & Mercier's My Classima is a wonderful way for budding enthusiasts to wet their beak in luxury watchmaking.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic

Jaeger-LeCoultre's Reverso Classic is just one of those timeless pieces that has aged gracefully and continues to be something that many collectors aspire to own. With its simplistic look, art-deco design and unique ability to be flipped around, thus protecting the dial, the Reverso Classic seems to be impervious to the tide of change and remains a horological icon.

TAG Heuer Connected Modular 2020

TAG Heuer has announced the third variation of its acclaimed smart-watch, the Connected Modular. Initially released in 2015 and fairly well received, the new Connected Modular new features improved functionality, better internals and an impressive OLED display encased in steel and ceramic.
