MR PORTER x Haulogerie: Watch Picks of the Week #80

Welcome to the next MR PORTER x Haulogerie: Watch Picks of the Week. In this week's edition, we'll be featuring some of the most interesting watches from Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier, IWC and Bremont. Enjoy!

Panerai Luminor Marina Sole Blu

Panerai's Laboratorio di Idee in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is where its master watchmakers and engineers develop, innovate and fine-tune their exclusive technologies, inspired by the brand’s heritage as a tool diving-watch pioneer at the service of Italian WWII frogmen. Encased in the label's durable Goldtech™, resistant to oxidation thanks to the addition of platinum, this 'Luminor Marina Sole Blu' watch is powered by an in-house-built calibre P.9010 automatic movement. Signature design details include a crown-protecting safety lock and sun-brushed sandwich dial that matches the dark-blue alligator strap.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon-Phase

This version of Jaeger-LeCoultre's 'Master Ultra Thin' watch features an intricate moon-phase complication, detailed with 31 date markers, at 6 o'clock. The case is expertly made from 18-karat pink gold and showcases the reliable Swiss-made automatic calibre 925AA movement through the sapphire glass crystal back, and it secures with a sleek alligator strap.

Cartier Santos Automatic

The 'Santos' watch was originally created in 1904 by Mr Louis Cartier when Brazilian aviator Mr Alberto Santos-Dumont requested a timepiece he could use while flying. Recognised today by the signature curved horns and exposed screws, this squared model has a 39.8mm 18-karat pink gold case that houses an opalescent dial detailed with Roman numerals. This style is expertly crafted with the innovative 'QuickSwitch' feature, which allows you to easily alternate between the chain link bracelet and alligator strap depending on the occasion.

IWC Big Pilot's Perpetual Calendar Rodeo Drive

From IWC we have the delightful Big Pilot's Perpetual Calendar Rodeo Drive. Clad in ceramic and titanium, the new Big Pilot's Perpetual Calendar Rodeo Drive is a superb combination of aesthetics and technical prowess, backed by the perpetual calendar 52615 calibre.

H. Moser & Cie Venturer Hand-Wound

The Venturer Concept's striking minimalism is a true representation of H. Moser & Cie.'s design restraint. The Vantablack® dial, made from the darkest material known to man, limits light reflections to create the impression of a black hole, which contrasts with the warm glow of the 18-karat red gold case. A power reserve indicator for the HMC 327 hand-wound movement is placed discreetly at the back, leaving just hour and minute hands for timekeeping. It makes the most elegant and refined of dress watches.

Bremont Supermarine Automatic GMT

The 'Supermarine' is part of Bremont's eponymous collection which represents the connection between the diving and aviation worlds. Designed with a 40mm stainless steel Trip-Tick® case and striped NATO strap, this model features a black dial updated with a GMT functionality - the burnt-orange hand complements the numerals on the unidirectional ceramic bezel. The case back is engraved with the Supermarine Seaplane, nodding to the iconic British aircraft manufacturer from the 1930s.
