Watches of the Week: 05/07/2021 - 11/07/2021

Welcome back to Watches of the Week, our weekly instalment where we feature some of the latest watch releases and news in the past seven days. In this week's edition, we'll be featuring new watches from Laurent Ferrier, Audemars Piguet, Arnold & Son and BALL. Enjoy!

Laurent Ferrier École Annual Calendar Navy

New from one of my favourite watchmakers is the École Annual Calendar Navy. Clad in vivid colours of blue and orange, the new École Annual Calendar Navy is a divine piece of haute horlogerie that is as delectable as it is delightful. Limited to only 10 pieces, each of them numbered and each of them engraved as "Série Atelier II", the new Laurent Ferrier École Annual Calendar Navy is priced at 50,000CHF.

Space Jam x Kross Studio

Kross Studio has unveiled its collaborative collector's set with Warner Bros. to celebrate Space Jam: A New Legacy. The set includes an in-house developed and made central tourbillon timepiece, along with a functional and interactive art piece. Limited to only 10 pieces, this collector's set is priced at a whopping $100,000USD.

Audemars Piguet's New Female Focused Royal Oaks

Audemars Piguet has released four brand new additions to its ever-expanding Royal Oak collection, this time primed and focused for the astute female collector. The first is a 34mm black ceramic Royal Oak with pink gold accents, with the second also measuring 34mm but this time encased in Frosted Gold. The third piece measures a little larger at 38mm but also includes a chronograph within its 18k pink gold case, topped off with a stunning baguette-cut amethyst-set bezel and purple toned dial. The final piece is perhaps the most impressive, and is the Royal Oak Frosted Gold Double Balance Wheel Openworked with a rainbow bezel encrusted with multicoloured gemstones available in three metals.

Arnold & Son Globetrotter Gold

Arnold & Son's Globetrotter is back, this time with a new and luxurious look. Clad in red gold, each of the new 28 Globetrotter Gold models now carry with them a super luxe aesthetic topped off with an elegant and modern blue across the dial. The Globetrotter Gold features a bridge made of solid gold overlapped the sculpted atlas below it, resulting in what is a spectacle of artistry and modern haute horlogerie.

BALL Engineer II Skindiver Heritage

New from BALL is the Engineer II Skindiver Heritage. This new model may look far from novel, but it carries with it a delightful secret. Turn off the lights and the Engineer II Skindiver Heritage shows its true colours, with a vivid display of rainbow luminosity piercing its way through the darkness. In what is a perfect contrast to all that colour, the Engineer II Skindiver Heritage is clad in a TiC coated stainless steel case with a matching black dial and either a TiC coated stainless steel bracelet or a rubber strap. Limited to only 390 pieces, the BALL Engineer II Skindiver Heritage is priced at $3,300AUD on the rubber strap or $3,500AUD on the steel bracelet.
