Watches of the Week: 11/01/2021 - 17/01/2021

Another week has come and gone in what feels like a blink of an eye, so that means another round-up of all the latest watch releases in our regular series, Watches of the Week. In this week's column we'll be featuring new watches from H. Moser & Cie, Ressence and Chopard. Enjoy!

H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Minute Repeater Tourbillon

H. Moser & Cie has just released its latest horological marvel, the Endeavour Minute Repeater Tourbillon. Featuring a titanium case with an Electric Blue dial, the Endeavour Minute Repeater Tourbillon is a scintillating combination of colours, movement and intrigue. The exposed gongs and double hairspring tourbillon emphatically hammer home the notion that this is an exceptionally complicated timepiece, while the bare blue dial's expansive real estate balances the busy nature of the exposed mechanical components. Limited to only 20 pieces, the H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Minute Repeater Tourbillon in titanium will be priced at 330,000CHF.

Ressence Type 1 Squared X

The Type 1 Squared X is the fourth and final 10th anniversary piece in the Ressence collection X. Limited to only 40 pieces and priced at $23,500USD, the Ressence Type 1 Squared X continues to build on the "Time by Colour" concept which was started a few years ago when Ressence was approached by Professor Christopher Harvey of the department of neuroscience at Harvard, with the patented system representing the day by a mix of colours. The aesthetic has a dark olive-green tint to it with a hint of light green and yellow. Stunning.

Chopard L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Ox

Chopard has released its own celebratory piece, commemorating the Chinese Year of the Ox in the form of the L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Ox. This piece features a Urushi lacquered dial made by Japanese master lacquer artisans. This is a very beautiful, very fine and very detailed piece, marrying the worlds of artistry with haute horlogerie.
