Limited to just 45 pieces, this collection is divided into three editions of 15 watches each, featuring dial maps of Europe, Asia, or the Americas. Inlaid with pure yellow gold landmasses, the dial showcases the brand's commitment to artisanal craftsmanship. Breguet Classique Tourbillon Sidéral 7255

Brand: Breguet
Model: Classique Tourbillon Sidéral 7255
Reference: 7255BH/2Y/9VU
Case: 38mm x 10.20mm
Case Material: Breguet gold
Water Resistance: 30m
Movement: 187M1
Frequency: 2.5 Hz
Power Reserve: 50 hours
Price: CHF190,000 (Limited to 50 pieces)
Breguet’s Classique Tourbillon Sidéral 7255 is a horological milestone that showcases the brand’s first flying tourbillon, integrated with a “mysterious” complication, creating an illusion of levitation. The flying tourbillon, a technically demanding advancement of the traditional tourbillon, is suspended only from below, requiring superior balance and strength. Breguet enhances this visual spectacle by using sapphire components that conceal the point of mechanical contact, allowing the tourbillon to appear as if it floats freely. The mysterious mechanism, typically used in clocks for invisible movement, is reimagined here to drive the tourbillon invisibly, heightening the impression of motion suspended in space. The watch also introduces an aventurine enamel dial—a complex, artisanal process involving multiple firings of glass powder with larger aventurine grains to achieve a star-like sparkle that evokes the night sky. Each of the 50 pieces is unique, owing to the handcrafted nature of the enamel. The tourbillon sits raised above the dial by nearly a millimeter, determining the watch’s entire structure, and symbolizing celestial elevation. The dial itself is structurally engineered from gold to enable careful layering of enamel, and features traditional Breguet elements like applied numerals, secret signatures, and hollowed apple hands. Crafted from a proprietary “Breguet gold,” the case features the brand’s new Quai de l’Horloge guilloché—both circular and linear—drawing inspiration from the River Seine’s curves. Altogether, the Classique Tourbillon Sidéral 7255 is a tribute to Abraham-Louis Breguet’s enduring pursuit of precision and innovation, reinterpreted with modern sophistication and artisanal depth.

Inspired by the iron-rich soil surrounding the Saxon town, the dial’s nuanced hue is achieved through a delicate galvanisation process, giving it a vibrant, ever-changing appearance depending on the light. The asymmetrical layout, guided by the Golden Ratio, balances aesthetic refinement with technical complexity, showcasing three hallmark complications: the Flying Tourbillon, the Panorama Date, and a moon phase display. The Flying Tourbillon—originally developed in Glashütte in 1920 by Alfred Helwig—appears as a light, floating structure, with its cage doubling as a small seconds hand. Meanwhile, the Panorama Date, known for its seamless, bar-less design, and the richly detailed moon phase, both highlight the brand’s mastery in dial craftsmanship. Housed in a polished and satin-brushed platinum case, the 40mm watch also features blued hands and silver-toned elements that enhance its visual depth. Driven by a meticulously hand-finished automatic movement with a 60-hour power reserve and silicon balance spring, the PanoLunarTourbillon combines horological heritage with modern innovation.
