Watches Of The Week: 12/02/2024 - 18/02/2024

Another week has come and gone, which means another round up of all the latest watch releases in the next Watches Of The Week edition. In this week's instalment, I'll be highlighting some amazing new watches from the likes of Omega, Sinn, Speake Marin and Baltic.

Have a great week ahead everyone.

Omega's New Seamaster Planet Ocean Models

Omega has done quite a lot so far, with 2024 proving to be the year, thus far, of the Seamaster. Very quietly, Omega unveiled six new Planet Ocean 600M models, all of which limited to boutique-only sales. There are three time-and-date models, and three chronograph models to choose from. All six models can be paired off in their respective time-and-date and chronograph variants, matched by a gunmetal colour palette, a silver and green colour scheme and finally a sandblasted beige and brown look. Pricing for the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M starts at AUD11,750 for the time-and-date models, while the chronograph versions will begin at a surprisingly affordable AUD14,950.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M In Green

As I said, 2024 seems to be all about the Seamaster so far, with the  Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M collection receiving a new green model. Available on a 3-link brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet or an integrated green rubber strap, the new Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M has all the penchants of being one of the stand out models for Omega in 2024, albeit a quiet one. The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M is priced from AUD10,050.

Omega Constellation Meteorite

Omega extended its new-new to the Constellation collection, where a handful of timepieces were released, all collectively receiving treatment that very much pertains to the model name: meteorite dials. Here we have a huge assortment of new Constellation models, some in steel, some in gold, some at 29mm, some at 41mm amongst others, but each model features a beautifully coloured meteorite dial, My pick of the bunch is that delectable Moonshine™ Gold with matching Moonshine™ Gold treated meteorite dial (AUD70,400). Prices for the Omega Constellation Meteorite begin at AUD15,525 for the 41mm models, with other pricing available for the smaller models on Omega's website.

Sinn 103 St Ty Hd Chronograph

The Sinn 103 St Ty Hd Chronograph has all the trademarks of a fantastic vintage-inspired modern chronograph. Going back to its roots and for the first time in over two decades, the 103 Chronograph is going manual. The new Sinn 103 St Ty Hd Chronograph now features a Sellita SW 510 M calibre, a manually wound movement with a cam style chronograph function with a beat rate of 4Hz. The new Sinn 103 St Ty Hd Chronograph is limited to 1,000 pieces and is priced at USD2,870.

Baltic Prismic

I've yet to feature Baltic on Haulogerie, but I guess it's never too late to start. The Prismic is crafted in steel and titanium and comes with either an Italian calf length strap or a steel mesh bracelet, which looks super cool. The focal point with the Baltic Prismic is that guilloché dial (available in green, salmon, purple of blue/grey), with a brushed exterior section, a grainy seconds sub-dial and a pie-pan stylised chapter ring. The salmon version looks like Chopard's new steel salmon dial L.U.C 1860 which can and should only be taken as a massive compliment. The other models look really cool, too. My favourite would definitely be the blue/grey model. The Baltic Prismic is available for pre-order now with deliveries beginning from July 2024 and is priced at €990 on the strap and €1050 on the metal bracelet.

Speake Marin Minute Repeater Carillon

From Speake Marin is the new Minute Repeater Carillon. What we have with the Speake Marin Minute Repeater Carillon is a titanium case that measures 42mm by 16mm with a platinum bezel and caseback. The Speake Marin Minute Repeater Carillon, from an aesthetic stand point, is fairly out there and a bit much for my liking, but it does feature some pretty serious finishings throughout. The highlight of the Speake Marin Minute Repeater Carillon is that brilliant SMA-HH02 manually wound movement, comprised of a flying tourbillon and a carillon minute repeater. This movement was developed and assembled by the maison's movement maker, Le Cercle des Horlogers. The Speake Marin Minute Repeater Carillon is reportedly a piece unique with a price tag of CHF360,000.
