Another week has come and gone in what seems like a blink of an eye, and so that means another round up of our regular series, Watches of the Week. In this week's edition we'll be featuring new watches from Audemars Piguet, Zenith, Raymond Weil and Girard-Perregaux. Enjoy!
Audemars Piguet CODE 11.59 Selfwinding Chronograph
Audemars Piguet is continuing its push with the CODE 11.59 Selfwinding Chronograph, now offering it in white or pink gold with black ceramics. This new and invigorating aesthetic stems from the maison's relentless pursuit of integrating modern and novel materials into its timepieces. The result is a look that is as dynamic as the piece itself.
Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Revival A3817
Zenith has revived one of its most historical references in the El Primero Chronomaster Revival A3817, a modern interpretation of a timepiece that made a groundbreaking debut in 1971. With its sporty tonneau-shaped case, the El Primero Chronomaster Revival A3817 was originally only produced in a super limited run of 1,000 pieces. Fast forward to 2021, and the El Primero Chronomaster Revival A3817 is one of the purest reinterpretations of a historic watch I've come across, where Zenith used historial blueprints and reverse-engineering principles to recreate the legendary piece. Brilliant stuff.
Raymond Weil Freelancer Calibre RW1212 Goes Green
Raymond Weil's latest and greatest is the green-dialled Freelancer Calibre RW1212. Featuring a bi-textured green dial, with a smooth outer chapter ring and a Clous de Paris inner dial, the Freelancer Calibre RW1212 marries the earthy look of a traditional green dial with the cold of a stainless steel case as well as with a pop of colour from the exposed balance wheel at 6 o'clock. The Raymond Weil Freelancer Calibre RW1212 is available on either a green strap or a stainless steel bracelet.
Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Infrared
Created exclusively for the Chinese market, the new Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Infrared is a distinct and prominent piece, clad in 44mm of titanium covered in PVD and paired with a forged carbon dial highlighted with red accents. This is a dark, exciting, invigorating and wholly contemporary watch whose aesthetic is completely and utterly intoxicating. Limited to only 88 pieces, only available in China from June and priced at 10,680CHF.
Cyrus Geneve Partners With Uralkali Haas F1 TEAM
Cyrus Geneve has announced its partnership with the esteemed F1 team Uralkali Hass, which boasts the likes of Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher. This is an exciting partnership between the two brands where I am sure we will see some epic pieces unveiled soon.
