Footballers & Watches - June 2021

Welcome to another edition of Footballers & Watches, our monthly instalment where we go watch-spotting with some of our favourite footballers. In June's edition, we'll be featuring the likes of Jordan Henderson, Jesse Lingard, Erling Haaland and Karim Benzema wearing an assortment of watches from Patek Philippe, Rolex and Audemars Piguet. Enjoy!

And you can check out May's spots right here, too.

Philippe Coutinho - Barcelona - Patek Philippe

The Brazilian maestro who currently plies his trade for Spanish side Barcelona has a fondness for the subtleties of haute horlogerie, such is the case of his simplistic yet wholly desirable Patek Philippe 5167A Aquanaut which retails for $30,600AUD.

Memphis Depay - Lyon - Audemars Piguet

Memphis Depay, who looks like he is on the verge of signing for Barcelona, was seen wearing the enigmatic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph, limited to 400 pieces and priced at 33,300CHF.

Divock Origi - Liverpool - Rolex

Divock Origi, who was once upon a time the saviour of Liverpool's Champions League campaign but now looks on the out and out of the club, was spotted wearing the ever-popular Rolex Daytona 'Panda' which retails for $18,500AUD.

Jordan Ibe - Derby County - Audemars Piguet

Jordan Ibe, formerly of Liverpool but now plying his trade for Derby County, can be seen here wearing the solid gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph.

Xherdan Shaqiri - Liverpool - Hublot

One of my favourite players and a staple for the Switzerland team was spotted wearing the Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire, encased entirely in polished sapphire and priced at an eye-watering €68,000.

Virgil van Dijk - Liverpool - Patek Philippe

Now I promise you I'm not being biased featuring some any Liverpool players in this month's edition, but it's not my fault they all seem to have impeccable horological taste! Here we have the man-mountain that is Virgil van Dijk sporting the beautiful Patek Philippe 5740 Nautilus Perpetual Calendar which retails for $190,650AUD.

Kieran Trippier - Atlético Madrid - Patek Philippe

The English right back who currently plays for Atlético Madrid was seen wearing the $83,600AUD Patek Philippe 5711R Nautilus.
