MR PORTER: Watch Picks Of The Week

In this latest edition of MR PORTER: Watch Picks Of The Week, a key theme will be of watches that are kind of all or nothing. What I mean is these are watches that you fall head over heels in love with and seek to acquire them, or you don't period. Last week I featured an assortment of watches that covered a lot of bases for any kind of collection.

This week I took a ride on the wild side, as they say. And with that I picked out six fantastic watches, including examples from Vacheron Constantin, Roger Dubuis and Piaget. Enjoy!

Piaget Altiplano Skeleton Diamond

Piaget's renown for haute joaillerie continues with the reference G0A45225. Featuring an entirely openworked dial characterised by skeletonised rose gold diamond-encrusted bridges, the Piaget Altiplano Skeleton Diamond is an almighty presence of style, design and luxury.

Roger Dubuis Excalibur EON Gold Flying Tourbillon

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur EON Gold Flying Tourbillon is an exceptionally interesting timepiece in that it marries the worlds of contemporary precious metal use with traditional watchmaking. The end result is a statement piece like no other.

Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteel™ PAM01289

A bit of normality here with the Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteel™ PAM01289. The use of eSteel™ is the focal point of the PAM01289, but let's not overlook that lovely blue ceramic dial and gradient blue dial. Superb.

Vacheron Constantin Historiques Triple Calendar

Let's take a trip down the lane of tradition with the brilliant Vacheron Constantin Historiques Triple Calendar. A sumptuous colour palette and those beautiful Cornes de Vache lugs combine to create a package that is as inconspicuous as it is impressive.

NOMOS Glashütte Club Campus Neomatik

In stature alone the NOMOS Glashütte Club Campus Neomatik is incredible. Pair it with a dynamically contemporary colour aesthetic, a manufacture movement and a price tag that is wonderfully wallet-friendly, and what you get is one of the best dollar-for-dollar mechanical watches money can buy.

IWC Pilot's Mark XVIII Top Gun Edition 'SFTI'

When I said all or nothing, I meant it. And the IWC Pilot's Mark XVIII Top Gun Edition 'SFTI'. You either love its aviation-inspired look and you understand it, or you don't. Either way, you can't not admire its military look, feel and purpose.
