Watches And Wonders 2024 - Part 2

There has been an incredible amount of watches released in the last 24 hours, with Rolex, A. Lange & Söhne, Tudor, IWC and Jaeger-LeCoultre all headlining some fantastic new releases.

In Part 2, we take a look at some more releases from the likes of Patek Philippe, Cartier and Grand Seiko all showcasing some incredible new watches.

Stay tuned for Part 3 and for the definitive list of the best releases of Watches And Wonders 2024.

Patek Phillipe Unveils Eleven New Releases

Amongst the plethora of new watches from Patek include some revisions including a new Aquanaut Travel Time in white gold, a new opaline blue-grey dialled Worldtimer with a carbon centre pattern, a few calendrier watches with a new In-Line Perpetual Calendar with a salmon dial, a stunning white gold Annual Calendar reference reminiscent of Patek's QA's from yesteryear, and a new Nautilus Chronograph with a fairly peculiar but interesting aesthetic.

Oris has revamped its Aquis Date collection with a handful of new models in new sizes, colours and with the option of having Oris' manufacture movement, or an ebauche mechanism that is a touch more affordable. There are several newly redesigned elements to the updated Aquis Date, but perhaps the most integral is the option of buying the piece with a genuine manufacture movement. I really, really like it.

Vacheron Constantin At Watches And Wonders 2024

Like Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin had a number of new watches to display at Watches And Wonders 2024. From new sunburst green and solid gold Overseas models, to a beautifully nostalgic Patrimony moon phase retrograde date, an Overseas Tourbillon model in titanium with a matching bracelet and a brilliant Traditionnelle Tourbillon Chronograph in the Collection Excellence Platine. But perhaps the most noteworthy releases from Vacheron came in the shape of a pocket watch, albeit one that has broken a record by becoming the world's most complicated watch with the Berkley Grand Complication, which boasts a whopping 63 complications and 2,877 components that required over a decade's worth of research and development.

Cartier's Watches And Wonders 2024 Releases

Cartier had an absolute stellar showing this year, unveiling an enormous amount of new and updated references. My personal favourite is the 1990s inspired Cartier Privé Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph, followed by the very peculiar but very cool Santos-Dumont Rewind. Other notable pieces include the Santos de Cartier Dual Time, the Santos-Dumont and the Reflection de Cartier pieces. Cartier also unveiled some high-jewellery pieces, including the Animal Jewellery watches , as well as the Tiger and Crocodile Jewellery watch.

Chopard Does Wonders At Watches And Wonders 2024

As cheesy as the title may be, Chopard didn't put a foot wrong at this year's Watches And Wonders. From the fantastic L.U.C XPS Forest Green to the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono Titanium, everything meshed well with the direction that Chopard seems to be taking. My favourite releases is the insanely cool Alpine Eagle 41 XP TT, which boasts a skeletonised dial as well as a titanium case wtih matching titanium bracelet. Another top-ten piece for me. Let's not forget the iced-out Alpine Eagle 41 XP Frozen Summit, a reminder of Chopard's haute joaillerie expertise, either.

Grand Seiko Shines At Watches And Wonders 2024

Grand Seiko released a number of incredible new watches with a line-up that is a deep as it is well spread. For those of you looking for a potential daily wearer there is the new Spring Drive Chronograph GMT, the Spring Drive GMT SBGE307 “Lion’s Mane" or my favourite, the Hi-Beat 36000 GMT SBGJ277 “Snowy Valley”. Grand Seiko's dressier pieces also reigned supreme, with drops like the platinum, diamond and sapphire Spring Drive 8-Day Jewelry Watch SBGD215, the beautiful SBGW314 “Starry Night”, the subtle Evolution 9 SLGH021 “Genbi Valley” or the new high-texture "White Birch Bark".

Hermès Arceau Duc Attelé

  • Brand: Hermès

  • Model: Arceau Duc Attelé

  • Case: 43mm

  • Case Material: Titanium/Rose Gold

  • Water Resistance:

  • Calibre: H1926

Hermès unveiled its most complicated watch ever with the Arceau Duc Attelé. Featuring a central triple-axis tourbillon, a minute repeater and a higher-than-usual beating frequency of 5Hz, the Arceau Duc Attelé is the ultimate expression of true haute horlogerie from a maison that does often get overlooked for its watchmaking capabilities.

Parmigiani Fleurier Brings Back The Toric Collection

Parmigiani Fleurier has brought back its iconic Toric collection at this year's Watches And Wonders with the Toric Petite Seconde and Toric Chronographe Rattrapante breathing life into the revitalised collection. Alongside the new Toric models, the Tonda collection welcomed some new and updated models too, with the Tonda PF Micro-rotor No Date and the Tonda PF Skeleton in platinum shedding some light onto the atelier's quiet but impressive directives.

Panerai's Watches And Wonders 2024 Showcase

Panerai had a field day at Watches And Wonders this year, revealing a plethora of new models for its sponsored partnership with the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team. There is the Submersible GMT Luna Rossa Titanio PAM01507, the Submersible Luna Rossa PAM01565, the Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa Ti-Ceramitech PAM01543 & PAM01466, and the balls-to-the-wall Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Experience Edition PAM01405. Looking forward to seeing these in the metal.
