Watches of the Week: 19/08/2019 – 25/08/2019
A new week is here and that means another Watches of the Week instalment. In this week's round-up we've got new pieces from the likes of Jaeger-LeCoultre, Zenith and NOMOS, amongst others. Enjoy!
Check out last week's round-up here.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date Limited Edition
Made for the North American market, the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date Limited Edition features a stunning blue dial along with the tell-tale signs of the Polaris' adventurous qualities. Limited to only 800 pieces and priced at $8,250USD, the Polaris Date Limited Edition is available online now.
HODINKEE x Zenith El Primero Revival G381
Featuring a beautiful yellow gold case and panda-style dial, the HODINKEE x Zenith El Primero Revival G381 embodies the quintessential look and feel of the original model from 1969. Touches of flair adorn the El Primero Revival G381 and I think it a fitting tribute to what is essentially a legend. Priced at $19,200USD and limited to 50 pieces.
NOMOS Glashütte Club Campus
The Club Campus collection has been expanded upon, with NOMOS Glashütte introducing 6 new models, three with an automatic movement and three with a manually wound movement. The Club Campus looks deceptively simple, and while its aesthetic characteristics can downplay its innate quality and superb build quality, I like to think of the Club Campus as a little bit against the grain. In a good way, of course.
Glashütte Original Senator Chronometer 10th Anniversary
It's already been 10 years since Glashütte Original debuted its brand-making Senator Chronometer. The combination of precision, quality and tradition has made the Senator Chronometer a cult classic. Available in a variety of case materials and dial colours, the Senator Chronometer is a well versed classical timepiece that ticks the boxes of many but is perhaps overshadowed by A. Lange & Söhne.
Roger Dubuis Opens New London Boutique
Located on Old Bond Street in London, Roger Dubuis has opened up a brand new boutique in what many consider to be the central hub of luxury. Featuring unique architecture and modern flair, the Old Bond Street boutique is Roger Dubuis' 25th boutique in the world, and only the third in Europe after Geneva and Monaco. If you're in the area you should definitely drop by and check out the insanity within.
A. Lange & Sohne Named Official Time Partner of Sydney Harbour Concouors d'Elegance 2020
A prestigious event that brings together passion, heritage, affluence and of course some incredible machinery, the Concouors d'Elegance 2020 which will be held in Sydney Harbour is bound to draw attention. And now that A. Lange & Söhne has been named the official time partner, you can rest assured that you're going to be seeing an amazing amount of drool-worthy, budget-blowing works of art.
