Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatique 38mm

Blancpain has introduced two new Fifty Fathoms Automatique models in a newly designed 38mm case - marking the first time the iconic diver’s watch has been reimagined in this more compact size. Rather than simply scaling down, the brand has carefully reworked the proportions to ensure balance and harmony, specifically tailoring the design to suit slimmer wrists while retaining the powerful presence of the original. These new watches are a tribute to women’s contributions to ocean exploration and conservation, particularly through initiatives like the Female Fifty Fathoms Award and the Ocean Photographer of the Year competition, which celebrate female artistry and environmental commitment. The two models are distinct in both material and tone: one features a smoky black dégradé mother-of-pearl dial in a polished 18k red gold case with matching black strap options (tropic rubber, sailcloth, or NATO), while the other exudes playful charm with a petal pink dégradé mother-of-pearl dial set in a brushed titanium case and paired with a sporty white strap adorned with pink stripes. Both are powered by Blancpain’s automatic calibre 1153, offering a 100-hour power reserve and equipped with a silicon balance spring, all while maintaining the Fifty Fathoms’ hallmark features like a domed sapphire unidirectional bezel and 300 meters of water resistance. These models are not limited editions and signal a significant new chapter for the Fifty Fathoms line, expanding its reach and celebrating the adventurous, creative spirit of women who connect deeply with the sea.

Breitling's New Superocean Heritage Models

Breitling has introduced a new generation of its Superocean Heritage collection, unveiling a series of new watches that blend vintage-inspired design with contemporary refinements. This updated lineup includes time-only models in 36mm, 40mm, 42mm, and 44mm sizes, as well as a 42mm chronograph, catering to a diverse range of wrist sizes and preferences. Notably, the previously available 46mm size has been discontinued, reflecting a shift towards more wearable dimensions. The new watches feature sunray-finished dials in colours such as black, dark green, dark blue, and mint green, complemented by ceramic bezel inserts and tapered Super-LumiNova-filled indices. Enhancements extend to the bracelets, with thinner stainless steel mesh options and dial-coloured textured rubber straps, both equipped with folding butterfly-style clasps that conform to the case shape for improved comfort and aesthetics. The 36mm models are powered by the COSC-certified Caliber 10 movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve, while the larger models house the B31 automatic movement with a 78-hour power reserve. With these new watches, Breitling continues to honor its dive watch heritage while embracing modern trends and technological advancements.
