Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Green
Created as a 10th anniversary celebration piece, the Classic Origin Green features a stunning opaline green dial that transitions from a soft, translucent moss green at its centre to a deeper, forest-like green near its periphery. The green is offset by bright yellow dial highlights, accentuating the natural look of the watch and enhancing legibility. Laurent Ferrier has opted to use 18k white gold Assegai-shaped hour and minute hands, complimenting the look of the dial supremely well. Encasing the green dial is a 40mm titanium case with elegant lines, classical curves and an ergonomic design. The Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Green is powered by the maison's new manually wound manufacture LF 116.01, a highly contemporary looking movement with all of the hallmark traits of a Ferrier-producing mechanism. The Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Green is available now and will be priced at 28,500CHF.
A. Lange & Söhne Launches the Saxonia Outsize Date & Saxonia Thin
A. Lange & Söhne is finishing off 2020 with a bang, releasing in quick succession two brand new Saxonia models. The first is the Saxonia Outsize Date and the second is the Saxonia Thin. Made to commemorate the 30th anniversary since Ferdinand Adolph Lange's grandson reignited the A. Lange & Söhne flame, these two new models celebrate the resurgence of the German watchmaker. The first is the Saxonia Outsize Date, available in pink gold and white gold with an argente-coloured dial. The Saxonia Outsize Date is the quintessential Lange, categorised by the enlarged date that works harmoniously with the aesthetic of the piece. The second is the Saxonia thin. This piece is available in white gold and features a mesmerising black, and copper-coloured shimmering dial. The A. Lange & Söhne Saxonia Outsize Date in white and rose gold will be priced at €25,600, while the A. Lange & Söhne Saxonia Thin will be priced at €23,900.
Timex Marlin California
My affection for the California dial, stylised by the use of Roman and Arabic numerals in each hemisphere of the watch, began with the Panerai Radiomir PAM00424. Timex has just released its own take on the California dial in a presentable, classical and affordable package. Enter the Marlin California. Available in either a 40mm stainless steel case with a natural looking dial colour of a rose-gold coloured stainless steel case with a black dial, the Marlin California is a delightful little timepiece that really pays tribute to the infamy and growing affliction of the California dial.
MB&F Legacy Machine FlyingT Lapis Lazuli
MB&F's Legacy Machine FlyingT was first launched in 2019, aimed at the female collector. It was met with great enthusiasm, and now it's back and it's more beautiful than ever. Entering the sixth edition of the Legacy Machine FlyingT, this particular model features an incredible Lapis Lazuli dial encased in white gold and encrusted with diamonds. The intense blue of the Lapis Lazuli is complemented by the soft look of the white gold case and the glimmer of those diamonds. But let's not forget what is the Legacy Machine FlyingT Lapis Lazuli's beating heart: that spectacular vertical flying tourbillon. All show, all go. The MB&F Legacy Machine FlyingT Lapis Lazuli will be priced at $138,000USD.
Hermès Arceau Grande Lune
New from Hermès is the Arceau Grande Lune. This particular piece features a stunning dial with differing shades of blue throughout, accentuated by the 43mm steel case and beautifully curved wire lugs. The Arceau Grande Lune is actually a triple calendar, with the day and month indicated in two separate windows just above the centre stack of hands, while the date is indicated in the same sub-dial as the moonphase. The Hermès Arceau Grande Lune comes just in time for Christmas too and will be priced at $6,100USD.
