Richard Mille RM 65-01 Split-Seconds Chronograph

New from Richard Mille is the insanely complicated RM 65-01 Split-Seconds Chronograph. This is Richard Mille's first automatic split-seconds chronograph made with the assistance of its movement-manufacturing partner Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier (also a movement manufacturer for Parmigiani Fleurier). The aesthetic of the watch is very typical of Richard Mille, with plenty happening, pops of colour everywhere, an insane level of detailing throughout the openworked dial and a beasty 44.50mm wide and 16.10mm thick titanium-Carbon TPT case. All told, the Richard Mille RM 65-01 Split-Seconds Chronograph is priced at a whopping 270,000CHF.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano Limited Edition

Made in collaboration with the renowned bespoke bootmaker Casa Fagliano, Jaeger-LeCoultre's Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano Limited Edition is a fitting tribute to a long-standing partnership. The Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano Limited Edition features a gorgeous pink gold case encasing the Reverso's iconic dual-dial layout, one with a deep burgundy lacquer colour and the other with a silver clou de Paris guilloche pattern. The Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano Limited Edition is paired with a handmade leather and canvas strap from Casa Fagliano, is powered by the calibre 854A/2, is limited to only 190 pieces and will be priced at $23,900USD.

Franck Muller Vanguard Line Cut

Next up we have the Vanguard Line Cut from Franck Muller. Crafted from titanium, the Vanguard Line Cut features a stunning grey dial accentuated by matte-grey hand-applied hour numerals. The entire aesthetic of the Vanguard Line Cut has been micro-blasted to create a uniform textured look. The monochromatic look is highly modern, as is the overall design of the watch. Somewhat polarising, the Franck Muller Vanguard Line Cut is anything but conventional.

Omega DeVille Trésor Orbis

New from Omega is theDeVille Trésor Orbis. Since its support for the charity began in 2011, Omega has released a number of timepieces honouring the maison's partnership. And now, in its latest iteration, Omega has released two lovely Orbis pieces based on the classical DeVille Trésor look. One of the models features a stainless steel case, while the other has diamonds encrusted on its bezel. Aside from that, they are identical. Both feature the iconic teddy-bear mascot that Orbis is known to give to children about to undergo eye surgery in the date window replacing the 8th date and both are powered by the calibre 8511 automatic movement. The DeVille Trésor Orbis without diamonds is priced $9,900AUD while the diamond-encrusted version is priced at $18,000AUD.

The Hour Glass Melbourne New Features a Dedicated Rolex Space

The Hour Glass in Melbourne is one of the flagship stores for the multinational retailer of all things haute horlogerie, and now it features a space solely dedicated for Rolex. Occupying the mezzanine level of the eight-storey building, the 90 square-metre space will offer unprecedented access to some of the brand's most iconic and most desirable timepieces. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favour and drop by. Also not too late for last-minute Christmas shopping either, just saying.

Jaquet Droz Celebrates the Year of the Ox

Jaquet Droz is known for making celebratory pieces honoring the various animalistic symbols for the Chinese New Year, and now the maison has just unveiled four new pieces, each portraying the ox. The four models are, quintessentially, Jaquet Droz pieces through and through. Subtle details, a beautifully classical design and a clean, almost artistic look throughout. These stylistic cues are worked upon by the addition of the ox, a symbol of perseverance and reliability, in three red gold models and one white gold model. These are incredibly gorgeous, highly intricate timepieces that feature the best of both worlds: haute horlogerie and dial artistry.

H. Moser & Cie Pioneer Models to Support ALS Research

H. Moser & Cie's efforts to support ALS Research has led the maison to create two new pieces. The first is the Pioneer Centre Seconds Cure ALS. Made in a limited run of 15 pieces and priced at $16,000USD, the Pioneer Centre Seconds Cure ALS is a simple time-only model encased in stainless steel with a stunning green fume dial inscribed with "CURE ALS" at the bottom of the dial. The second piece is the Pioneer Tourbillon Cure ALS. This model is made in a limited run of only 5 examples and will be priced at $55,000USD. It has the same dial as the Pioneer Centre Seconds Cure ALS model but instead features a dial cut-out at 6 o'clock, displaying the one minute flying tourbillon with its double hairspring. Both are supreme, and both help support a very charitable effort.
